The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and the world-renowned UI Library have joined forces for an exhibit of Fighting Illini sports memorabilia and photos Thursday, April 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wyndham Drake Oak Brook, 2301 York Road, Oak Brook, Ill.

This exhibit highlights historical tributes to Illinois Athletics beginning from the opening of Memorial Stadium in 1923 to the men's basketball national championship game appearance in 2005. Each of the six exhibit cases will feature important documents on the history of Illinois Athletics along with some of the most famous athletes in school history.

Illinois Football Coach Ron Zook, Director of Athletics Ron Guenther and University Librarian Paula Kaufman will be in attendance and address the crowd.
